Photos of Ruby Rose suited up as the lesbian superhero, Batwoman, has finally surfaced.

Recall that the Rose made headlines two months ago after being cast as Batwoman by The CW for their upcoming Arrowverse crossover event, which made her the first openly gay superhero to headline a TV series.

Speaking about being cast for the historic role, she told Jimmy Fallon, while fighting off tears: “I feel like the reason I got so emotional is that growing up, watching TV, I never saw someone on TV that I could identify with—let alone a superhero, you know? I said I wouldn’t do that.”

However, the actress did not have peace on Twitter because envious trolls targeted her in series on tweets; while some questioned her sexuality, others argued she wasn’t fit for the role.

This prompted the 32-year-old actress to fire back at the trolls in since-deleted tweets, before deactivating her Twitter account.

Now, The CW and producers Warner Bros. TV have unveiled an early look at their next superhero in costume: Ruby Rose as Batwoman. And THR reports that costume was designed by four-time Oscar winner Colleen Atwood, who was also behind the spandex creations for Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl.

Here’s the superhero’s story”

“Batwoman centers on the life Kate Kane, who, armed with a passion for social justice and flair for speaking her mind, soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet — in a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.”
