Police officials working in Enugu State’s Nsukka Area Command have detained Obed Chekwube Ugwuanyi, also known as MC Sharp, Chinenye Agbo, also known as Star Ella Ada, and Anastasia Onu for allegedly assaulting Chinenye.
The trio and other people can be seen in the viral video where Chinenye is shown getting thrashed, having her clothes taken off, being stripped, and having her hair forcibly shaved.
She was charged with abusing Anastasia, Obed’s girlfriend, and biting her on the chest.
However, a statement by the police spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, noted that; “Preliminary investigation reveals that the trio are, however, claiming that the video, which has generated public outcry and condemnation due to the inconceivable assault, inhuman and degrading treatments meted out on Chinenye as seen in the video, is a prank and meant to garner followers on their social media accounts.”
Ndukwe added that, “The state Commissioner of Police, *CP Ahmed Ammani, while condemning the act, has ordered the State CID Enugu to thoroughly investigate and prosecute those found culpable, to serve as a deterrent to anyone who may want to perpetrate such an act under the guise of prank.”
