“You dey message client with Nigerian number and you wan cash out, dey pay” – Alfa tells Yahoo boys[VIDEO]
In a social media video that has gone viral, a Muslim cleric offers an unusual piece of counsel to internet scammers, also known as “Yahoo boys.”
The cybercriminals were forewarned by the cleric known as Alfa not to send messages to clients in other countries using Nigerian phone numbers.
Alfa claimed that doing so would compromise the effectiveness of a unique soap that was given to these con artists.
The cleric is seen advising those who are already chatting with their victims without using a foreign phone line to stop doing so in the video, which has received a lot of attention online.
The reasoning behind his advice lies in the belief that the special soap, presumably a ritualistic object or talisman, loses its effectiveness when used alongside a Nigerian phone number.
While the cleric’s advice may seem peculiar to many, it has sparked reactions from netizens across various social media platforms.
