Nigerian lady blocks man after being deceived with fake N1M credit alert as birthday gift

A Nigerian woman by the name of Debby Ifeayemi has taken drastic action to block an unidentified man who tricked her into thinking he would send her a birthday gift.

Debby, who will celebrate her birthday in six days, shared her wish list on social media, which included things like a new phone, a power bank, airpods, prayers, and money.

She wrote;

Birthday in 6 days here is my wish list 🥹🙄🙄😂”

When Hozed, a Twitter user, saw Debby’s tweet, he wanted to know how much the power bank she wanted would cost.

Debby promptly shared a snapshot from an online marketplace, indicating a price of N33,500.

Showing interest in fulfilling her wish, Hozed requested Debby’s bank account details, which she promptly posted on the microblogging platform without hesitation.

However, shortly after sharing her account information, Debby received a screenshot from Hozed, claiming to be a fake debit alert and suggesting that she enjoy the non-existent funds.

Unamused and disappointed by Hozed’s deceitful act, Debby swiftly blocked his Twitter account.

Upon realizing he had been blocked, Hozed expressed feigned remorse on his own Twitter page.

He wrote;

My Good no go kee me 😭! The money I would have given to my mother or a charity home. I don’t deserve to be blocked. Since yesterday, I have been unable to eat.”
