Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ achieves double diamond in France

Afrobeat singer, Rema scores another huge achievement in France with his hit single ‘Calm Down,’ which receives a double diamond.

The song’s international success has won it a double diamond certification in France, where it has sold more than 500,000 copies, making it one of the most successful Afrobeats songs to be exported internationally.

‘Calm Down,’ one of the lead songs from Rema’s debut album ‘Raves & Roses,’ was released in February 2022 and features Selena Gomez on the remix. The song has also received certifications in Switzerland, Italy, and the United Kingdom, in addition to a platinum plaque from the RIAA in the United States.

Furthermore, ‘Calm Down’ holds the record for the highest-charting African single on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 8, surpassing Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ remix featuring Tems and Justin Bieber. The music video for the song has over 427 million views on YouTube and has topped 2 billion streams across all platforms combined.
