Afrobeat singer, Davido has recently made a revelation about his relationship with Portuguese footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Davido recently referred to Ronaldo as a close friend and stated his support for him during an appearance on the ABTalks podcast, which is hosted by Anas Bukhash.
In addition, he chastised people who mocked Ronaldo after Portugal was eliminated from the World Cup. When recounting the situation, O.B.O underlined his relationship to Ronaldo and said that, in light of their friendship, the internet critics’ words greatly hurt him.
“Look at Cristiano Ronaldo when he left the World Cup. He is my friend, by the way. He is my very good friend. When he left the World Cup, I remember being on the internet, and the trolls were abusing him so much, even after everything that he has done,” he said.
It is important to note that Davido paid homage to Cristiano Ronaldo in his well-known song from 2017 called “Fall,” and surprisingly, Davido is the only African musician that Ronaldo follows on Instagram.
