“I almost sold my father’s Rolls Royce to do music” – Davido[VIDEO]

Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke widely known as Davido has revealed that he almost sold his billionaire father’s Rolls Royce to fund his music career.

In an interview with ABtalks, he said that because his father, Mr. Adedeji Adeleke, was unwilling to support his musical endeavors financially, he broke into his father’s Atlanta, Georgia, home and sold a number of TVs.

The DMW boss claimed that this had happened to him while his music career was just getting started. He claimed that he had requested to return to Nigeria from his father, but his father had rejected the request.

As a result, he decided to take matters into his own hands and start looking for ways to raise money.

After getting rid of the TVs, he claimed that one of the “crazy means” he used to fund his desire to become a musician was to almost sell his father’s Rolls Royce.

OBO said; “So I blew up, remember I said that I told him I wanted to move back, but he disagreed. I ended up dropping out, he found out that I wasn’t in school for like a year.

I broke into his house in Atlanta, sold all the TVs, old his furniture. I almost sold his Rolls Royce, because I was like ‘yeah I want to do this music’ but he didn’t want me to, so I was like ‘you know what?’ I’m just about that crazy.”
