Shina Peller has said that “opposition political thugs” attacked his convoy on his way home after a campaign rally in Oyo state.
The entrepreneur wrote on Instagram: “Unpleasant news like this is bound to discourage many like me who are truly driven by the desire to serve our people positively.”
Shina Peller said he had always preached against violence in politics because of his desire to serve people.
“Since I got actively involved in politics, I have preached against violence. And this is often reflected in my utterances and acts. The ugly incident that occurred yesterday in the APC Oyo State campaign in Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency saddened my heart.”
His mother and his wife were “almost injured” in the attack, he said.
Shina Peller is contesting for the House of Representatives position representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency in Oyo State.
