Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun, has been declared winner of the governorship elections is the state.

NAN reports that Ogun state INEC Returning Officer, Professor Idowu Olayinka, announcing the result, said Abiodun, winning 11 local governments of the 20, won with a margin of 19,517 votes.
Abiodun polled 241, 670 votes to defeat governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Adekunle Akinlade, who scored 222,153 while Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)candidate, Buruji Kashamu, finished third with 70,290 votes.
