Emmanuel Myam, a cyclist who gained popularity for riding his bicycle to visit Davido, has now explained why he turned down Davido’s offer of money.
Remember how the devoted follower began traveling from Benue to Lagos to see his hero, Davido? Davido was compelled to ask the biker for his account number after his somewhat caustic remark drew fire online. He then had to go home and wait for the rider to return.
The rider, however, declined Davido’s offer of money and reiterated that he would be delighted to see him and present Davido with his gift.
The cyclist admitted that money was never the reason he started the “risk” expedition in an exclusive interview with Legit Ng. But he left the door open for the singer to still “bless” him personally.
In his words:
“I didn’t drop it (his account details on Twitter like Davido requested) because all I want is to meet him and present my gift to him and then if he decides to bless me he will. My primary reason is never the money but seeing him as I have been longing to.”
