A Nigerian man has returned a whopping N5 million to his client after he erroneously sent the sum to him instead of N50,000.
The man, known on Twitter as @maziechidiime, took to the site to recount the experience.
According to his claim, he completed a N50,000 task for the client. However, the client made a mistake and instead transferred N5 million.
The man stated that he was astonished when he received the alert and that he waited six hours before calling the client.
When the man contacted the client, he was told that the error was the client’s fault. The client then requested account information in order to enable the man to refund the money. The man promptly obliged and returned the full amount.
He also revealed that the client had offered him an additional N40,000 as a reward for his honesty, which he declined.
His tweet reads; “He quickly told me to take an extra 40k for my goodness which I rejected.”
