A Nigerian man makes U-turn after saying wives are not family and unimportant.
A Twitter user known as @Mazigomez has changed his mind after previously tweeting that spouses are not family members as specified.
Following the news of footballer Achraf Hakimi and his wife’s divorce, there has been a flurry of social media discussions. According to reports, Hakimi protected his wealth by putting his mother’s name on all of his properties and money.
Many people have spoken out about the incident in the midst of the uproar. Wives should not be considered family members, according to the Twitter user.
He tweeted, “The truth remains that your wife is not your family. Only your parents and siblings are”.
His tweet, however, did not sit well with many who dragged him to the mud. After being chastised by netizens, the young man changed his tune and revealed that his wife is his next of kin and that she will never be taken for granted.
“Women are beautiful creatures and I love the women in my life, especially my wife. She’s my next of kin and yes I put her name in all my properties.” he wrote.
