Tragedy struck as a young man loses his arm to a factory accident.
On August 11, a worker at a facility in Logbara village, Owode Egba, that produces animal feed had his hand amputated.
According to a statement made by the spokesperson SP Omolola Odutola, a situation report from Owode Egba Division indicated that on the mentioned day, one Ibidun Abiodun, a female who identified herself as the factory’s administrative manager, reported that one Jeremiah Sulaiman, an employee of the business responsible for machine handling and industrial machine cleaning, had his forearm severed while carrying out his duties.
According to Odutola, the victim was rushed to Babcock University Teaching Hospital Ilishan by the Production manager and his immediate supervisor, where he has been stabilised and responding to treatment.
She said preliminary investigation has begun into the unfortunate incident to unravel how the victim’s forearm was chopped off.
She said that the state Commissioner of Police has been briefed and he has ordered that the executives and members of the victim’s family meet in his office as part of the investigation procedures.
