Ciata Jolie, a Nigerian model and make-up artist, has revealed that she was defrauded of all her asset.
The make-up artist claimed that she paid 4 million for a piece of property that had previously been sold, and she later learned that the fraudster she paid was well-known for carrying out these kinds of land sales.
Ciata claims that she came upon a piece of land in her state and got in touch with the owner, who said he had inherited it from his father.
She claimed that the man assured her that he was reliable and had taken all required precautions to lead a moral life. He was quite persuasive, and before he signed the necessary paperwork, Ciata handed him an initial payment of 4 million.
She regrettably paid 400,000, of which 350,000 was the development charge, before beginning any work on the land.
She got a call from someone claiming to be the owner of the same land just as she was ready to leave the hamlet. She was caught off guard by the news, and to make matters worse, the other person who claimed ownership painted a skull-like figure on the fence to discourage onlookers.
She shared her experience and advised others not to be deceived by religious or other false beliefs.
“How I was scammed of ALL my life savings. My heart is shattered!!! PLS SHARE,” she captioned the post.
