Lady quits N20k job after she was asked to wear mini skirts and heels to work everyday

A waitress at a club in Lekki Phase 1 quit her job after she was told to wear a miniskirt and heels, according to a tweet from @EmpressDaisy_.

They were instructed to only wear little skirts and heels during working hours on the first night, she revealed in a post on her Twitter profile.

The manager responded that it was done to make clients happy when they leaned over when she questioned why. She continued by saying that the position only paid N20,000, which she thought was a shockingly low wage.

Due to these conditions, she decided not to return to the job after the first night.

She wrote;

“It was a waitress job at a club in lekki phase 1. First night, we were told waitresses would wear only mini skirts and heels during work hours. When I asked why, the manager said it’s so that when we bend, customers would be happy. Salary was 20k. I didn’t return.”

The story has sparked outrage on social media, with many users expressing their support for the Twitter user’s decision to quit.

Some have called for the club to be held accountable for their actions, while others have called for more awareness and actions to combat sexual harassment in the workplace.
