JAMB Fraud: Innoson conducts independent investigation, speaks on stance on scholarship awarded

Speaking about their position regarding the scholarship given to top-scoring student Ejikeme Mmesoma, Innoson Group addresses allegations of fraud made by JAMB against her.

The top student in the 2023 UTME, Ejikeme Mmesoma, was accused of falsifying her results by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), according to recent news reports.
The Innoson Group, which had given the young student a university scholarship, has spoken out while the accused student has gone online to dispute these claims with clips of her printed results.

The girl he met couldn’t do that, according to Cornel Osigwe, head of corporate communications for the company.

He noted that the company is carrying out its own independent investigation and would withdraw their scholarship if it is discovered that she had willfully manipulated her results; if found, however, that she didn’t, Cornel notes that the scholarship would stand, whether or not she’s the top scorer.

He wrote:

“We’re doing our independent investigation on the issue of manipulation, if we found that the girl willfully manipulated her result, we shall withdraw the scholarship, but if we observe she is innocent of the accusation, then the scholarship stands, whether she is the best or not.”
