Mrs Jumoke Akindele-Ajulo, the first female Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, gave birth to her first child at the age of 54.
The news of the first female Speaker’s child, which many saw as a miracle from God, shook the South-Western state.
Friends and political connections congratulated her on the birth of her child on social media.
A Facebook user identified as Segun Odidi broke the news and wrote in a post;
“What God cannot do doesn’t exist. First Female Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly delivered a bouncing baby on Saturday.
“Her first fruit!! What a cheering news! i’m so happy for you big sis. Congratulations Rt. Hon Jumoke Akindele.”
Akindele-Ajulo, a Peoples Democratic Party Assembly member from 2011 to 2019, held the role of Speaker from 2014 until her dismissal in 2017. During her service, she represented Okitipupa State Constituency 1.
