Anambra couple detained for brutalizing 9-year-old domestic helper with a pestle and a knife[VIDEO]
A Nigerian couple has been arrested for brutalizing their house help.
The couple who were identified as Blessing and her husband were detained in Anambra state after being accused of brutalizing their 9-year-old house help, Idinma, with a pestle and a red-hot knife.
On May 12th, videos of Idinma with a bloated face and different bruises leaked online, sparking outrage on social media.
The pair allegedly inflicted the injuries on Idinma, who stays with them and helps them care for their baby, after she dropped one of their newborn twins while holding them.
According to rumors, her benefactors allegedly denied Idinma access to education. She is being treated in a hospital for her injuries.
A video of the nursing mother and her husband being interrogated by community members has gone viral.
