Ghanaian born Nollywood actress, Nadia Buari, has shown once again that she is a real African woman who would not want to indulge in any harmful acts that will dent her image.
The top actress, according to reports from her media minders, was approached by a French cosmetic company, Avant Claire Grande, to be their brand ambassador representing the African continent.
The endorsement contract was a bid for Avant Claire to lace into the African market using Nadia because she appealed to their target market better than any other African celebrity based on their research.
But at the point of signing the contract, the Diary of Imogen actress and producer, realised that the Claire product contained compounds of hydroquinone, a chemical used for skin whitening and bleaching, and she promptly ‘rejected the deal because she does not want to endorse anything that would be harmful to her people’.
Thumbs up for Nadia Buari.
