Afrobeat singer, Davido explained why he did not pay tribute to his late son, Ifeanyi, nor include sad songs in his newly released album, ‘Timeless’.
In a press conference in Lagos today, April 17, the singer revealed why he didn’t write a song about his late son, Ifeanyi.
He indicated that his major goal was to make a classic album with few or no emotional songs in order to keep listeners from feeling emotional when his kid died.
Davido also spoke about his personality and 12-year career in the industry. He emphasized that no matter what he was going through, he was always a joyful person.
Furthermore, he stated that if sad songs are to come, then it will be an entirely different project on its own as he never had plans of combining them.
He also addressed questions about his upcoming “Timeless” concert in Lagos. The concert is scheduled for April 23, 2023, at the Tafawa Balewa Square.
