Teenagers Arrested for Kidnapping 4-yr-old boy and demanding N2m ransom in Kano State

 

It is the end of the road for some alleged teenage kidnapper after they were caught by the police in Kano state.

Two teenage kdinappers who allegedly kidnapped a 4-year-old child at Dorayi area of Kano metropolis for N2 million ransom have been arrested by the Kano state police command.

The suspects identified as Jabir Usman Sule and Bashir Aminu popularly known as Karsan, demanded for two-million naira (N2m) as ransom from the parents of the abducted child.

The suspects handed the letter in which they made their demand for N2m ransom to the immediate elder brother of the abducted child who later identified them thus leading to their arrest.

The duo were arrested on February 11, 2018 by the police and the victim rescued at the resident of the ward head of Dorayi where the kidnappers deposited him after they had demanded for the ransom.

Briefing press, in his office, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Kano state police command, DSP Magaji Musa Majiya, said ‘’the coordinated effort of our detectives led to rescue of the victim safely without paying a single penny while the two suspects were arrested.”

He said the suspects confessed to the crime during police interrogation.

While responding to questions on what they plan to do with the money if collected, they said they have no plan but might consider the purchase of tricycle (Keke Napep) with some of it. The PPRO said investigation into the matter is ongoing and the suspects will soon be arraigned in a court of justice.
