Skales has left Baseline Music after the record label allegedly ceased all forms of communication with him, Pulse reports.

Skales was signed to Baseline Music on July 22, 2014 and was unveiled by the label in spectacular fashion at a press conference held at The Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The label which also houses acts like Saeon, Aramide, is managed by KISS Entertainment owners Howie T and Dipo Abdul.

The entertainment website reveals that the label ended all forms of investment in the rapper/singer’s career after his Man of the year album in May 2015.

It is being reported that Baseline music is currently facing legal heat from Howie T after he and Dipo Abdul were let go for reasons best known to them.

Skales management was also said to have tried to get through to the record label to no avail.

According to the source quoted in the report, “Baseline refused to pick calls and also answer emails since 2015 May, do you expect the young man’s career to be stagnant?”

Seeing this, Skales decided to move on with his career and has purportedly been self-financing his projects for about a year.

On the 13 million Naira fraud case which got Osagie, Skales’ manager invited by the police for questioning on Tuesday, the source said the Metal Entertainment CEO is being used as a ‘scapegoat’ to cover up for Baseline’s discrepancies and internal issues.
