Reason I would have been a stand-up comedian if not for music – Davido

Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke widely known as Davido has revealed that he could have been a stand up comedian if he didn’t end up as a singer.

Davido explained that he is a humorous person who enjoys seeing people happy when asked whether comedy is the only thing he would pursue.

He claimed that because he has experienced bad feelings firsthand and won’t wish them on his adversaries, he finds humor to be simple.

This was revealed by The ‘Unavailable’ hitmaker in a YouTuber Tayo Aina-produced documentary. Aina filmed Davido as he spent a day traveling and performing for the documentary.

Davido added that he is inclined to evoke humour out of situations in a way that reflects in his entertainment career. In his words:

“If I was not doing music, I would have been a stand-up comedian. I’m a funny guy. In school, I was the type to always make people laugh. That transcended into my entertainment, music, and being a people person,”

“I know how it feels to not feel good. That bad feeling, I wouldn’t wish it on even my enemy.”
