It’s been seven years since we last saw Michael Scofield and the Prison Break gang but, thanks to the first trailer for Fox’s upcoming fifth season, we are being reunited with some of the old familiars.
It features many of the much-loved characters in the franchise, which include Michael’s brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell), Theodore ‘T-Bag’ Bagwell (Robert Knepper), and Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies).
The series began in 2005 and trailed the story of Scofield who gets himself imprisoned with the intention of breaking out his innocent brother, Lincoln.
The show ran for four seasons before its dismissal after ‘The Final Break’ in 2009.
If you have concerns that the premise of the new season will stray from the original series’ trusted formula, cast them to one side – it turns out to Michael Scofield is alive, in prison and needs help breaking out.
As it stands, there are lots of unanswered questions (mainly surrounding Michael’s alive status) but we’re sure the new ten-episode season will answer them in thrilling form come early 2017.
