OAP Do2dtun, others blast Desmond Elliot over transformer donation

Media Personality, Do2tun and others have thrown jabs at Actor turn Politician, Desmond Elliot over his donation of transformers to the community days to the election.

Desmond who is running for a third term as lawmaker for Lagos State House of Assembly, Surulere Constituency had donated transformers to his constituency ahead of the March 18th election.

Taking to social media he had this to say:

“This is to bring reliable electricity to communities that have long needed it”.

The recipients of the transformers include, Somade Crescent, Main street, Clegg street, James Robertson, Akerele, Martins Street and Tafawa Balewa.

“I am excited to announce that new high-capacity transformers have been installed in Surulere, bringing reliable electricity to communities that have long needed it.”

Do2dtun responded on Twitter, pointing out that Desmond Elliot was only making a donation to buy his constituency’s votes. The OAP was perplexed as to how Desmond, who couldn’t afford a power bank for his constituency, could donate eight transformers all at once.

He added that it is obvious Desmond Elliot doesn’t care. Do2dtun said:

“Desmond that couldn’t but a power bank for his constituency suddenly buys 8 transformers all at once few days to the Election. Isn’t it obvious that these guys don’t care”.

This is coming after Lagos youths in Surulere had vowed to come en masse to vote out Desmond Elliot, during the upcoming state elections, from his political post as a lawmaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Surulere Constituency.

The youths are angry because Desmond Elliot has allegedly failed to produce any positive results since taking office on April 11, 2015, particularly in Surulere. To make matters worse, he abandoned the youths during the END Sars protest in 2020 by introducing legislation in the Lagos State House of Assembly to regulate and control social media speech.
