A Nigerian man who identifies as Ashiru Musa Danrimi has allegedly stabbed himself to death with a knife in Kano state after his fiancee dumped him to get married to another man.
According to reports, the 25-year-old man was a member of a Neighborhood watch in Kagawa ward, Ungogo local government area of the state, became disappointed after his fiancee, Umi Muhammad, chose to get married to another man despite performing himself financially and otherwise to their relationship. He took a knife and stabbed himself.
Confirming the event, the spokesperson of the Kano state police command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, stated the police rushed the late Ashiru Musa Danrimi to the Murtala Hospital where he was confirmed dead.
Neighbours of the deceased have expressed shock at the news of his death as many who knew about their relationship, did not foresee it would end in this manner.
