The BET Awards are going down tonight at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. And since award shows have become so boring these days, the best part of a show of this magnitude, everyone knows is the red carpet.
Since Nicki Minaj and her fiance of 12 years Safaree Samuels broke up late last year, the two have taken shots at each other on social media.
And in the latest drama between the two in the early hours of this morning Safaree Samuels took to his Twitter and Instagram account to reveal that he had been banned from walking the red carpet at tonight’s ceremony. He wrote,
So Bet told my publicist im “Banned” from Bet Red carpet, hmmm wonder why.. dnt recall a situation occuring with them but hey #itiswhatitis
He was so pained by it that he also went on to claim that he wrote some of Nicki’s rap lyrics.

Damn! We can only imagine that Nicki who is now dating rapper Meek Mill gave the awards show organisers and ultimatum, that if she is walking the red carpet her ex can’t. And since she is the bigger star it wasn’t hard for them to bounce Safaree…
