MI Abaga Defends Wizkid’s Feature in Drake’s ‘One Dance’, Dismisses Criticisms as ‘Rubbish’

Finally, Nigerian celebrities are standing up for Wizkid following criticisms of the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner’s feature in Drake’s smash hit song, ‘One Dance’, and one of those who have spoken out about the new song is rapper MI.

In new interview with Hip TV, the Choc Boy Nation boss dismissed the criticism as ‘rubbish’. “The day the song came out, everybody on social was saying Wizkid didn’t really sing. People were saying all sorts of rubbish,” the rapper said in new interview with HipTV, adding, “They have no idea what it means to be at that level, even to be one of the writers.”

Recall that while many Nigerians congratulated the Star Boy for yet another feat achieved, some dragged him on social media, saying that he was given the D’banj treatment“, their reference being D’banj’s brief feature in Kanye West’s Mercy.

But Baba Nla keeps winning. In one week, he became the first Nigerian artiste to make the Billboard Hot 100 and Top 2 Spots on Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 Charts, and also the iTunes World Chart.

That’s not all. Wizkid made it to No. 1 on the UK Single Chart Top 100. And he keeps topping the charts around the world, an achievement MI Abaga greatly admires.
