The Popular Fugees star, Lauryn hill was yesterday sentenced to three (3) months imprisonment for tax evasion of about $1.8M.
Lauryn reportedly paid $900,000 back taxes she owed the Government just a day before her hearing sentence.
The 37 years old singer pleaded guilty last year, claimed she was not able to earn the money to pay up her bills without endangering the lives of her seven children.
She also wrote an open letter that she did not pay her taxes in 2005, 2006, and 207 because she decided to distant herself from the society due to death threat.
The famous and Grammy award winner will begin her three (3) Months jail term by July 8th, 2013 and will also be on house arrest for another three months after her three months jail term.
