Prominent for his mastery at igniting feuds on Twitter, Kanye West may now be trying to end one, as he has spoken on the competition between two of the world’s biggest streaming services – Apple and Tidal.
The rise of Tidal and Apple Music streaming services over the last year has seen the two giants battling for subscribers, with major releases like Rihanna’s ‘ANTI’ and Drake’s ‘View From The 6’ being held exclusively within their respective catalogues.
Rumours had earlier suggested that Apple showed interest in buying Jay Z’s streaming music company, Tidal, as part of its ongoing war against competitor Spotify.
But apparently things have not been moving fast enough for West.
In a flurry of four tweets, on Saturday, the sensational and controversial rapper griped that the competition between Apple and Tidal over streaming music exclusives is nothing but a “dick swinging contest” that’s “fucking up the music game.”

Apparently, Kanye, a co-owner of Tidal, and close friend of the company’s head, Jay Z, may have been urging the tech giant with its couple hundred billion in cash to “give Jay his check for Tidal now.”
