Did Jhené Aiko and Big Sean call it quits?
A little over a year after she got a large tattoo of Big Sean on her left tricep, Jhené Aiko has covered it up with a galaxy scene.
The new ink raised eyebrows online, with fans of both Aiko and Big Sean – who have been an item since 2016, pre-dating her divorce from producer Dot da Genius – wondering if it meant the couple called it quits.
A picture of Aiko’s cover-up was posted to Instagram on Thursday by the tattoo artist Miryam Lumpini. It completely obscures even the slightest hint that a sizeable, full-color image of Sean’s faceused to cover the back of the singer’s arm.
Shortly after images of the tattoo started circulating, Aiko tried to cut off the breakup chatter, tweeting the very permanent cover-up was purely an aesthetic decision.
“i covered ALL my tats w/ a big ass Dragon w/ a Phoenix wing breathing life and light into a new galaxy. NEW ART! NO BEEF!” she wrote. “ALL LOVE!”
Keen-eyed observers will, of course, note that she didn’t deny that the couple had broken up, just that there is “NO BEEF” between them.
Fans might also be curious about the couple’s relationship status since both have erased any trace of one another from their respective Instagram accounts.
That’s the same thing Pete Davidson said right before his split from Ariana Grande was made public.
