President Muhammadu Buhari has on Monday evening presented a gift to the outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, who is expected to retire from the Force on Tuesday, June 21, 2016.
Buhari presented the gift to the outgoing IGP during a presidential dinner with all his security chiefs (Military, Intelligence services and Police).
Arase retirement is in line with extant laws governing the country, having clocked the mandatory retirement age of 60.
It would be recalled, Arase was appointed in April, 2015 by the immediate past President, Goodluck Jonathan, following the removal of Sulaiman Abba, over an alleged misconduct.
