“Empire” Finale Boasts Snoop Dogg, Rita Ora, Jennifer Hudson & Juicy J

Empire Finale Boasts Snoop Dogg, Rita Ora, Jennifer Hudson Juicy J

The rating-phenomenon Empire attracted 16.7 million viewers for its two-hour season one finale on Wednesday night, partly thanks to featured performances from Snoop Dogg singing his new hit single “Peaches N Cream,” Rita Ora, Jennifer Hudson and Juicy J. Snoop’s cameo involved him announcing a joint venture with Lucious’ record label before promoting the new Pharrell Williams produced track and even bringing on Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Gray) on stage to share the limelight. Empire survives on cameos such as these, with Mary J. Blige being a recent success and Common and Oprah Winfrey to come. Cookie chose Rita Ora to join Charles Hamilton on stage to debut the new single “NY Raining” but fans will have to watch the videos below and the episode to see how this turns out. Finally, Jennifer Hudson and Juicy J perform “Whatever Makes You Happy,” as well as the singer performing as an actor within the episode. Empire has proven to succeed regardless of mixed reviews, highlighted by the success of their soundtrack despite the low projections, and fans will already be looking forward to season two.
