Drake revealed on Friday morning that his Please Forgive Me short film will drop on Sept. 30. The film was directed by Drake and Anthony Mandler and features a musical score by 40.

Drake’s VIEWS is the biggest album of the year, featuring several successful singles and monster streaming numbers. Despite this fact, the project still only has a single music video to its name, and that’s for the pre-album single “Hotline Bling.” It looks like that might be about to change.

In two posts on Instagram Sunday night, Drake revealed that he has a video project in the works. Titled Please Forgive Me, the project will feature music from VIEWS. Although the posts didn’t reveal much, they both feature women, one in an ornate outfit and another in a close-up shot of her face and hands.
Drake released his Jungle short film in 2015 as a preview for If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late, so it’s possible that Please Forgive Me will take a similar form to that, but at this point it’s hard to tell. Drake was previously rumored to be shooting videos for “One Dance” and “Child’s Play” in South Africa and Houston respectively. It’s possible that those videos will be included in this project.

Whatever the project ends up looking like, it’s sure to pull VIEWS to even greater heights. The album has been streamed over a billion times, and its singles “One Dance,” “Controlla,” and “For Free” are all performing admirably on the Billboard Hot 100. Drizzy fans will just have to wait and see what he comes up with next.
