One of former Nigeria’s Vice President Atiku Abubakar sons has tested positive for coronavirus, as the pandemic continues to spread globally.
Atiku Abubakar shared the news on Twitter, stating that the NCDC (Nigeria Centre for Disease Control), has been duly informed about the situation and that his son has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and Management.
It is not yet known if his son who tested positive for coronavirus is among the previously confirmed cases of the disease in the country.
Taking to Twitter he urged Nigerians to put his son in their prayers, while also emphasizing that the virus is real. He wrote;
“My son has tested positive for coronavirus,”
“The @NCDCGov has been duly informed, and he has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management. I will appreciate it if you have him in your prayers. Stay safe, coronavirus is real,” he added.
