Grammy winner, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, known professionally as Burna Boy, reportedly received $750,000 (N577.5M) for his performance at Coachella 2023.
The Coachella music festival was held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, for two weekends beginning April 14 and ending April 16, 2023.
Burna Boy supposedly collected $750k as his booking fee after entertaining the audience for 50 minutes on Friday, April 14.
According to business journalist Trung Phan, the headliner and other musicians in the front row were paid $4 million, but those in the second row, where Burna Boy was seated, were paid a lower sum.
He tweeted:
“Interesting rule-of-thumb for the Coachella poster. Headliners make $4,000,000+ per weekend while artists in the 2nd row make $750,000 per weekend”.
