Design
The Nokia Lumia 920 has the advantage of coming from a well-known stable. Nokia is known for making phones of high-quality and this reputation is retained through the Lumia 920. It may be on the heavier side at 185 g, but it feels like one of the sturdy phones in the market today. In comparison, the Gionee Elife E7 is quite light at just 150 g. This is extremely low for a phone that has a 5.5 inch screen. Further, its maximum thickness is just 9.5 mm compared to the 10.7 mm of the Lumia 920.
Display
As said, the Elife E7 uses a 5.5-inch display. Apart from providing full HD resolution, this display uses the IPS panel. It is normally found in high end devices from reputed manufacturers. The fact that it has started infiltrating through most products shows the popularity of this technology. It is not surprising to see the Lumia 920 also use the IPS panel for its 4.5 inch display. Apart from the lower size, the Lumia 920 also suffers from having 720p resolution in its display.
Speed
The major difference between the two phones comes about in the operating system with the Nokia opting to continue with its Windows range. The Elife E7 offered the android jellybean operating system when it came out. Due to its powerful specifications of a quad core 2.2 GHz processor mated with 2 GB of RAM, this device will be able to run in the latest OS without any trouble. Elife E7 also offers the superior snapdragon 800 processor. The Lumia 920 also relies upon snapdragon for its power plant, which is a dual core 1.5 GHz processor. However, the phone also features just 1 GB of RAM. Such lower specifications, however, do not spoil the performance of the phone. The Windows Phone OS has been designed to be uniform in terms of user experience on several devices with varying degrees of performance.
Camera
The Lumia 920 comes with an eight megapixel camera that is supported by Carl Zeiss optics. The Elife E7 has a 16 megapixel camera. The Nokia device should take better pictures due to its better optics. The Gionee Elife E7 is available at around ₦70,000, while recent price reductions has seen the Lumia 920 drop to ₦80,000 .
