On November 1, 2013, Deborah Grattan posted a dream she had about a “evil billionaire” who started taking submarine tours to the Titanic on Facebook.
Years ago, she related how he had evacuated some of the ship’s water, but the voyage had ended disastrously. It would make a good movie, she added.
“Had a weird dream that an evil billionaire started doing submarine trips down to titanic and somehow pumped water out of parts of it but then it turned to disaster on its maiden outing..prob make a good movie….” she wrote.
The “Titan,” a submersible run by OceanGate Expeditions, imploded yesterday as a result of a catastrophic loss of pressure, killing all five occupants, according to the US Coast Guard.
Since then, Grattan’s article has gained a lot of attention on social media as many people have noted the uncanny parallels between her dream and the recent tragedy.
Some have even claimed that the post foretold the catastrophe.
The event has once more called into question the safety of submarine tours and the requirement for tougher controls.
It was reported that the five billionaires onboard the submersible perished after running out of oxygen for hours.
