Former Deputy Governor of Osun State and one time Senate member of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Iyiola Omisore, today won the primaries election of PDP gubernatorial candidate for the state. The election day by INEC,was schedule to come up on August 9th 2014.

He won with total votes of 1,128 votes, ahead of his close opponent Senator Olasunkanmi, in the dust with 45 votes while Honorable Wole oke , have 4 votes. According to report Senator Isiaka Adeleke, was withdrew from the primaries election about 57th minutes before the votes cast.
Senator Iyiola Omisore, won the senatorial slot in the state in 2003, while in prison for 2 year, standing trial for the murder of late Bola Ige.
