Chris Brown’s been gearing up to drop his eighth studio album, Heartbreak On A Full Moon. The singer’s teased the project since the beginning of this year with loose singles. He said in an interview that he’s been working on the project since the release of Royalty in 2015.

Snippets of “Tempo” have been surfacing for a few months but never an official version. Other singles that have led the projects roll out have been a bit more upbeat and ranged in sounds. However, “Tempo” shifts into Chris’ comfort zone with R&B. He’s back to the roots with this single.
