Cristiano Ronaldo Scores Winning Goal As Juventus Win Italian Super Cup

Cristiano Ronaldo won his first piece of silverware for Juventus as he netted the winner against AC Milan in the Italian Super Cup in Jeddah.

The Portuguese forward steered his header past Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 61st minute after getting on the end of Miralem Pjanic’s pinpoint delivery.

Ronaldo, 33, has starred for the Old Lady since moving to Turin last summer, where he has already banged in 16 goals in all competitions.

And his close range header was enough to seal Juve’s first Super Cup triumph since 2015. Ronaldo failed to put the icing on the cake as he raced clear on goal in the dying seconds, with Donnarumma this time foiling the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Both teams will now turn their attention back to Serie A where Juve hold a nine-point lead at the top, while Milan trail fourth-placed Lazio by a point.
