A married woman from Nigeria expressed her dismay on social media after her mother-in-law gave her a helper who, rather than providing assistance, required constant support and care.
The worried wife’s series of videos went viral, eliciting conflicting responses from online users who questioned the propriety of the mother-in-law’s decision.
The married Nigerian woman explained her unexpected situation in her social media posts.
She had originally asked her mother-in-law to help her find a young girl to help her with household duties and childcare responsibilities in an effort to lessen her daily workload.
However, what transpired was far from her expectations.
Videos posted online revealed the young girl sleeping on the same bed as the woman’s baby, suggesting a level of dependency rather than assistance.
Expressing her dissatisfaction with the situation, the lady lamented that she had inadvertently become the one providing help to the girl instead of receiving it, as was initially intended.
