In a fresh interview with San Francisco radio Wild 94.9, rapper Kanye West explained while he had someone dressed as Jesus Christ on stage during his “Yeezus” tour.
Kanye kicked off his performance by bringing an actor dressed as Jesus on stage and this has gathered so much criticism from fans and some religious leaders.
Kanye however said he had a friend who is a pastor and during the course of discussing about how he’ll open the show, then the Jesus Christ part came up. Even Kim wasn’t so sure about it but the pastor assured me that there is nothing wrong about it.
“We do plays all the time. People play Jesus. You know what’s awesome about Christianity? We are allowed to portray God and we are allowed to draw an image of him. We are allowed to even make movies about him. Other religions don’t. That’s why Christianity is awesome” the pastor said.
Kanye further explained that all he was trying to pass accross was just a message saying you are allowed to talk to jesus in a free way
