On Thursday, April 20, at around 8 am, Pastor Nicholus Kibagendi, received a call from an unidentified person. He received the call and walked towards the tarmac as he talked to the person.
We gathered that was be the last time his wife, Jennifer, their children and his congregation saw him.
Jennifer waited for her husband to return home to no avail. She reported the matter to the nearest police station in Kijauri area and a search for the man who worked as a steward at the Nyamira Conference headquarters commenced.

Words were circulated on social media for anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kibagendi to report to the nearest police station.
Efforts to establish who called the pastor haven’t yielded fruit. Close to a month later, Thursday, May 18, Pastor Kibagendi’s body was found decomposing in a bush 200 metres from his home.
