Nigerian International Ahmed Musa has revealed why he joined English Premier League champions Leicester City.

The Super Eagles vice captain signed a four-year deal with Leicester City on Friday, July 8, to become the Club’s fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Nampalys Mendy, Ron-Robert Zieler and Luis Hernandez.

Speaking to Foxes Player HD, Musa disclosed why he joined the English league champions after it was reported that Southampton, Everton and West Ham were also interested in his service.

He said:“I feel very happy joining Leicester City, for me it’s one of the best clubs and I feel very happy. I joined because it’s one of the best clubs in the Premier League and they are like a family. That’s why I joined Leicester City and I’m very excited.

“I look forward to seeing the fans in the new season and I will do my best to make them happy.”

Musa notched 54 goals in 168 appearances, winning three Russian Super League trophies in five seasons in Russia. He has also won 58 caps for Nigeria at senior level, scoring 11 goals.

He was Super Eagles captain until he recently relinquished the position to Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel.
